Matchbox Macbeth Trailer
A few weeks ago, I shot this trailer for Litmus Theatre. They had two successful runs of their show Matchbox Macbeth (a site-specific adaptation of Shakespeare’s play), and they wanted to document the piece as a record of the type of work they create. We had a great night of shooting in and old shed in downtown Toronto and they cut together a cool trailer.

I spent the weekend in Stirling, Ontario, visiting friends in a Christmas Panto show, and I had some time to walk around yesterday with my Fuji X100. I fell in love with this truck and took a few shots. All of the post-processing was done on my iPad with Snapseed.

“If it be now, ’tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come—the readiness is all.” -Hamlet, 5.2
The Classical Theatre Project finished the fall season with Hamlet. I didn’t direct this production, but I did shoot some stills of the show. My good friend, Riley Gilchrist, was a fantastic Hamlet.
Twelfth Night
The remount of my production of Twelfth Night opened this week and we had a quick photocall this afternoon. Having worked in theatre all of my adult life, this is my favorite show that I’ve worked on, and certainly my favorite to direct. I just love spending time in Illyria, and I took this shot to capture the joy and musicality of this production.
Skype Rehearsal
I’ve been delayed in returning to Toronto and rehearsals start this week for Twelfth Night. What to do? Working with my Assistant Director and Stage Manager, we set-up a Skype rehearsal. Now, I can spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my family here in Colorado, while still conducting rehearsals in Toronto. The joys of technology!
Last month, I had a photo-shoot with the super-talented Amanda LeBlanc for her upcoming album, Yours Truly. We had a blast chasing the late afternoon sun in High Park and here is the resulting album cover. Be sure to check out her album when it’s released December 5th!
